“Pregnant,” Dimitrius said in shock. “What the hell do you mean by pregnant?”
“Knocked up, up the duff, with child, a bun in the oven, preggers. . .
“Enough!” Dimitrius yelled. “I know what pregnant means.”
He dropped down in his chair, leaning back in his chair he looked at his brother who was looking at both him and Alexis Silver as if he was watching a tennis match.
“Antinous can you give Mister Silver and I some time to talk things out.”
His brother snapped out of it. “Yeah, sure.” He got up still dazed about what they bother heard. “Welcome to the family, I think.”
He walked out of the door and Dimitrius reached for his office phone. “Bailey, make sure I’m not interrupted.” He didn’t wait for her to respond. “Now, that we are alone and before we address that you’re pregnant with my child. Why did you erase my memory?”
Alexis or Alex to his friends glared at the handsome werewolf. He looked the same as he did that night. Tall, muscular, dark blond hair with the deepest blue eyes he’d ever seen. It was his eyes that caught his attention the night they met. Dimitrius had offered to buy him a drink and being hypnotized by his eyes Alex didn’t object. One drink turned into two accompanied by dancing and kissing. He was having so much fun he hadn’t realized that his body was going through an omega heat. He was magical but there were some things he couldn’t control.
Alexis Silver came from a long line of powerful wizards. So powerful they did not need wands or anything to center their magic. He simply needed to say the summoning words, and it was his. There were still some magic that he still had a hard performing but there was always a way around them. His parents are the high priest and priestesses of their coven. When he turned eighteen and graduated from high school, his parents expected him to attend college and start the process of taking over the mantle to become the next high priest. But Alexis realized after one year away from his family he wanted something different.
His parents were not happy when he told them he did not want to become the next leader of their coven. Because of his decision it caused a rift between him and his parents. Alexis didn’t think that would have pull their once tight-knit family apart, so far apart that he hadn’t spoken to them in years. After graduating from college, he and his best friend Cullen pooled their resources together, they used their inheritance and started Greyson Silver. Cullen was human and didn’t blink an eye when he told her that he was a wizard and about the supernatural world. Cullen promised to keep his secret and agreed to enter into a magical agreement with him to never discuss anything about his world unless he gave him permission.
He and Cullen built their company from the ground up. Spending hours pouring over contracts, tag teaming meetings and doing everything they could to get noticed. When it became that some investors were more interested into getting into Alexis pants before signing on the dotted line, Cullen became the face of the company. Cullen had also asked his uncle who worked for the justice department to place a block on Alexis’ file at the highest level for a couple of different reasons. But the main reason was they found it added a bit of a mystery as to who was the other partner.
Cullen wasn’t unattractive in any regards. He garnered his own attention from both men and women. They were different in appearance but worked well together. Cullen was taller than Alexis who stood at five foot seven. While Cullen had green eyes, Alexis had gray. Cullen was bald and sported a neatly trim beard while Alexis wore his hair long reaching down to the middle of his back.
The night he met the sexy alpha werewolf their company had just went public, and they were celebrating. He wanted to blame his best friend for everything that happened that night, but he couldn’t. Alexis had a two-drink limit rule that he always followed whenever he and Cullen went out. But that night he was in too good of a mood to stick to his rule. He remembered meeting the sexy alpha, the dances, they shared, and convincing the man that they should go to a hotel. Everything else after that was a complete blank.
Alexis had woken up the next morning and was shocked that he was comfortably wrapped up in the man’s arms. Once he’d gotten over his shock, he got up without waking the sexy alpha and perform a memory erasing spell. It was the first time he’d done magic without the agreement of the other person. It was after he’d gotten home he’d realized the ramifications of his actions.
The alpha wolf was his mate. Other than the bite mark on his neck, he was sporting a tribal tattoo on his ring finger and knew the other man would have an identical one. The last was when he started feeling sick four weeks after his one night with the man. He’d fight the feeling only to give up and decided to go to the doctor only to find out he was pregnant. Cullen was either going to kill him, laugh, or cuddle him like a baby when he found out since his friend was very worried about him of late.
“I can’t do this right now,” he said breaking the silence. He turned to walk away but the tone in the other man’s tone stopped him.
“Give it back to me.”
“What?” he asked turning around. “Give back what to you?”
“My memories,” he growled. “You had no fucking right to take my memories away from me.”
The alpha was right, and he couldn’t find an argument to disagree with him. He didn’t say anything and walked over to the other man and gently touched the sides of his head. Their eyes stayed connected as Alexis whispered the word reclaim. The alpha gasped, his eyes became dazed as the memories of that night returned not only to him but to Alexis as well. Strong hands reached up and gripped his wrists and the air in the room changed. They stared at each other and Alexis felt his face inching towards the man’s face. Realizing what was happening he pulled back and moved away from the werewolf.
“Look, apparently we’re mates, and we are getting ready to have a baby. But I’m not sure how to do all of this, because I wasn’t planning for it. . .” Sighing heavily he dropped down in the empty chair sitting in front of the large desk. “What am I going to do?”
“You’re not in this alone,” the werewolf said. “The baby is part of me as well.”
“I don’t even know you.”
“No, but this will give us a chance to get to know each other. We are mates. The fates must know what they are doing to make fit for each other.” He looked up when a hand appeared in front of him. “Let’s do this right. Dimitrius Wolfe.”
Alexis looked at Dimitrius’ face and saw that he was being sincere. He didn’t know what was going to happen after he walked out of the man’s office but talking like adults was a start. He stood to his feet and took Dimitrius’ hand. “Alexis Silver.”
