My crazy thoughts of the week. For the past couple of weeks, I have been working diligently to finish my third project. However, I think I have hit a snag. First, dealing with headaches causing me to change my schedules to writing while the house is quiet. That is not so much as a bad thing other than I am up later or earlier in the mornings.

The other day I was thinking about the reasons why I became a writer. There are so many good and bad things that come to mind. Let’s look at the good. I love building worlds putting them into words and who wouldn’t want to write about sexy ass men falling in love and being together. I love that fiction gives you the opportunity write tropes like male pregnancy and folklore, shifters for one. The worst is having sleepless nights from being unable to turn my brain off when I am writing for the night. The apprehension of putting myself out there and realizing that there are some that will not like my writing.
But even with the bad, I know that I cannot stop writing. I am learning to develop a very thick skin, but at times doubt seeps through and will always be in the back of my mind. It is part of the vulnerability of putting yourself out there. There are some that will judge and some that will praise a writer. Writing is my life and passion, it makes me happy. I have had several jobs over the years and never had the feeling of fulfillment I get when writing a plot or even writing 'the end of a finished project. I love hearing from readers on how much they enjoyed my story.
A review can also make or break a writer. Nothing does a writer more good than when a new writer such as myself when I receive a good review from a reader and continues to read more of their work even if others thinks it sucks. I have gotten good and bad reviews, and that is part of being a writer. But I am very appreciative to all the readers who have spent time and money reading my books. I always keep in mind that I first write for myself and then the reader. I know that I will make mistakes as I continue this journey and some I will be able to correct, and other’s will be slow.

Writing and family take up a lot of my time, but when I do get the chance to read I read a lot of Yaoi manga or M/M Romance books by some of my favorite writers. All titles can be found on www.amazon.com
