Just a quick update on what's going on. As the title suggests I have good news. My next novel will be out sometime in June. I still don't have a date exactly and I don't think I will. Once it's finished and edited triple or one hundredth times over I will published it on Amazon. I love the new start of a new series. I'm enjoying writing the this series as I did the first one. Duncan and Jordan's story has pushed me to full fill my fantasy of writing about werewolves and all sorts of creatures that would be introduced in later series. I will be doing a book reveal sometime soon. And speaking of the first series, the third book is planned to be released in around late July early August the latest. However, I'm pushing for July. I'm very excited about Brenden and Stephen's story and the cover is OMG awesome. The One-Night Series will be coming to an end soon. After Brenden and Stephen story, the next one will be Lucas and Tucker. (Yup! I gave that one away.) I'm already having fun writing their story. It's also a bit sad in some parts. I've already given away a little of Tucker's story in previous novels. If there's a book five I haven't gotten the inspiration for one. But I'm not ruling it out. When it comes to my writing muse I never rule anything out. Okay, it's pretty late and I need to get to bed. Everyone has something they're afraid of in life. We can lie to ourselves and say no. But admitting it is the first step to conquering our fears. Whether it's getting older, the dark or even success. I'm deathly afraid of snakes (even though I adore them in my fiction stories). I'm afraid of anything that crawls on it belly, that includes worms. They seriously gross me out to no end. I'm afraid if not being a good wife or a good mother. And most of all I'm scared of showing others the real me because of fear of rejection. Even though I might tell myself I shouldn't care what others think. I'm human, and I have many faults. I feel other see my flaws rather than what I'm great at doing. I'm sure there are others like me who try to overcome their fears one step at a time. Becoming an author was the first step of me showing a part of who I am, by putting my work out there for others to read and judge whether they like it or not. And so far, I've been welcomed with open arms relatively well. There are times I think I need to show more myself and there times I think I haven't shown enough.
Since becoming an author/writer; I've learned a lot about myself. Personally and professionally. I've learned not to be easily offended if a reader leaves a negative review. Does it hurt that someone didn't like what I wrote? Hell yeah, it does. But I have to push the negative away and concentrate on the positive. I'm so afraid, and I'm sure I many Authors (newer and experienced) were once in my position at one point where they had no idea about the world are about to enter. Just like fiction sometimes reality can be a slap in the face. You're left sometimes wondering if you did the right thing or if it was worth it to put your work out there for everyone to see and judge. And then at times, you get a reader that leaves you with a review which puts a smile on your face with their positive review outweighing the negatives, and you answer the question of whether its worth it. There are people in my life that I envy. They can rise above their fears and do things I would be afraid to try or think about doing.
I've decided to step out and do something that I would be afraid to do. I will be attending my first GRL this October! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I can't wait to meet all the authors whose books I've read over and over for the past few years. And I cannot wait to learn from them. My only worry is that I will end up being that one annoying fan that they run from when they see coming (LOL).
Good news, I finished the first draft of Jordan's Pryde, and I'm closer to finish book three of My One-Night series. I've scheduled May as the release date for Jordan's Pryde, and it's still unconfirmed when the release date for Book three will be out. I'm still working on a few other novels as well, so I'm kind of busy for the remainder of the year planning out plots after plot. Also, if you've noticed that I haven't posted more chapters to, Affairs of the Heart. That's because it will be tied to the Pryde Pack series. It will have its own series, but they will be related. I will not be sending out a newsletter this month. But look for one next month. Until next time.

I've been working steadily for the past couple of weeks on my upcoming novels and plotting out new ones. As it stands, Jordan's Pryde will be set for sometime in May. I enjoyed writing this book and will be doing more Paranormal's storytelling in the near future. There are three books slated so far coming from this series. Other than being sick and busy over the past couple of weeks have set my schedule further back than I would have liked. Next month makes it one year since I published my first novel and I am so happy that I did. I realize I still have a very long ways to go. I will make mistakes (grammar-wise as well), and the only thing I can do, is simply improve and continue to write beautiful stories; as long my guys talk to me.
I've decided unless something changes in my schedule that I will be attending GRL in Denver this year. I'm super excited! It will be my very first, and I can't wait to meet so many authors I have had admired over the years. I hope I don't annoy them going all fan-girlish. But who can blame me? I really hope they don't. I will be going as a reader and not as an author. The saying of crawling before you walk comes to mind.
Along, with Jordan's Pryde I'm working on His Baby's Secret the third novel in the One-Night Stand Series (Brenden & Stephen's story). And the fourth book in the lineup. There will also be a spinoff series from the One-Night Stand series focusing on the agents of Seekers. Chance, from Loving You will not be quiet, so it seems he will be the first to introduce us to the worlds of the Seeker Organization entirely. I think the series will be longer than the One-Night Stand because there are so many avenues I want to explore.
I've been doing some personal projects as well. My husband and I are trying to buy a house by the end of the summer. The only thing we can't decide is which state we want to buy it in. Since retiring from the military, we've had ideas of moving out of Rhode Island. We thought of Florida, Sout Carolina or Atlanta. Anywhere with no snow or one that gets's as little as possible. Right now we are not sure but who knows things my change and we stay here. I really hate the cold and snow. It beautiful when it first falls to the ground, but when comes time to shovel it becomes a bit tiring.
I've been seeing a sleep specialist as well in an effort to beat my insomnia. He diagnosed me with Psychophysiological insomnia. Yeah, I did a double listen when he said that. After he had explained it and I looked it up on google I found out that it's more common than I would have thought. Psychophysiological insomnia is one of the most common and difficult types of insomnia to treat. A patient with psychophysiological insomnia focuses on their sleep, and worries about not getting enough. Their worrying starts when they prepare to go to bed. In other words, my brain doesn't shut off when it's time to go to sleep. I'm always thinking of what I'm going to write and how I can fix this plot or change this scenario. I basically, have to trick my body into sleeping and when I wake up on things that I need to do. I do a lightbox therapy in the morning each day for thirty minutes. But what I've been doing is keeping the light on while I work out that way I'm getting the son I need along with getting my body in shape.

No question is too small or crazy for me to answer. Just think about this, before I started writing I use to sell sex toys! Now, those are some funny stories I could talk about.
I hope that you had a great holiday and got what you wanted from Santa. I had an enjoyable holiday, and I am looking forward to the new year and what it will bring. December was very busy for me, and I did not get a chance to work on my novels that much. I hope that I will be able to get back to work in January.

Update on my W.I.P’s for 2017
As I have stated above, the month of December I took a bit of a break from my novels. That did not mean I was not writing. I was able to work on a couple of my fan fictions (I’m a big Harry Potter fan) They are all M/M romances, and writing them helps me with ideas for my novels. Plus, they are fun to write. I think I needed to step away from working on my novels to better assess where I wanted the plot lines to go. My muse can be a fickle thing, and sometimes it refuses to cooperate and do what I want. Also, my characters were not talking to me before I decided to take a break. However, since I've taken some time off to spend with my family the characters have not shut up which is a plus in my book. I do not have a release date for my next novel. But, I am pushing to release four novels and a couple of novellas next year

It's been a while since I updated you guys on what's been going on in my world. First, I've been a bit bummed about the election and needed to to stay off social media for a bit. Not only the media but the news as well. It got too much and I got tired of seeing the hate and divisiveness of what this election as broth forth in the country. It breaks my heart to know that people would rather live in a world filled with fear and hate.
Second, I signed up for NanoWriMo which have been helping me keep focused on my writing. Taking my time to work on the next three; no make that four novels that are set to come out next year. There will be two from the One-Night Stand Series and two from a new Shifter Series that I am working on. I do not have a scheduled date for any of the books, only that they are set for next year.
Third, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I am so excited. It leads into my favorite holiday which is Christmas....YAY!! But, honestly, it seemed as if Summer went by in a breeze. But anyway, as to why I mention Thanksgiving, I love trying new recipes when it comes to cooking a turkey, we are planning on doing a hickory honey roasted and also a baked turkey (family will be coming over). My crazy thoughts of the week. For the past couple of weeks, I have been working diligently to finish my third project. However, I think I have hit a snag. First, dealing with headaches causing me to change my schedules to writing while the house is quiet. That is not so much as a bad thing other than I am up later or earlier in the mornings.
Soap Box Time
The other day I was thinking about the reasons why I became a writer. There are so many good and bad things that come to mind. Let’s look at the good. I love building worlds putting them into words and who wouldn’t want to write about sexy ass men falling in love and being together. I love that fiction gives you the opportunity write tropes like male pregnancy and folklore, shifters for one. The worst is having sleepless nights from being unable to turn my brain off when I am writing for the night. The apprehension of putting myself out there and realizing that there are some that will not like my writing.
But even with the bad, I know that I cannot stop writing. I am learning to develop a very thick skin, but at times doubt seeps through and will always be in the back of my mind. It is part of the vulnerability of putting yourself out there. There are some that will judge and some that will praise a writer. Writing is my life and passion, it makes me happy. I have had several jobs over the years and never had the feeling of fulfillment I get when writing a plot or even writing 'the end of a finished project. I love hearing from readers on how much they enjoyed my story.
A review can also make or break a writer. Nothing does a writer more good than when a new writer such as myself when I receive a good review from a reader and continues to read more of their work even if others thinks it sucks. I have gotten good and bad reviews, and that is part of being a writer. But I am very appreciative to all the readers who have spent time and money reading my books. I always keep in mind that I first write for myself and then the reader. I know that I will make mistakes as I continue this journey and some I will be able to correct, and other’s will be slow.

It's been one week since I released my second novel and I am still excited that I did it. I'm very happy that I've taken the chance by putting myself out there. I have so many things planned for the rest of this year and the next. I am currently working on three novels and I hope to finish and release one by the end or the beginning of the year. I might throw in a Christmas or New Year ending. I have made a vision board of all the things that I want to accomplish professional and personal. I have also been working on my office, there are a few things I still need to work on. I might show pictures once it's finished. I will be updating things on my site little at a time so stay tuned for changes.

After catching his fiancé cheating, Ethan Beaumont needed to get away. Ethan decided a spontaneous weekend in Las Vegas was just what he needs. He was not expecting on running into the dashing and sexy Tyler Hamilton, the man he'd had a crush on since the day they met.
Tyler Hamilton, known for his love ’em and leave ’em attitude, just got back from tracking a bioterrorist and needed some downtime. Asked to go to Las Vegas to close a business deal by his business partner and twin brother, Lucas, Tyler decided to take time to relax as well. Running into Ethan Beaumont, Tyler made him an offer Ethan couldn't refuse.

Ethan’s plane landed in Las Vegas, and he stupidly turned on his phone, which instantly began to ring. Ethan answered without looking at the caller ID while making his way towards the airport exit, he didn’t need to; he knew exactly who it was. “Stop calling me,” he said, answering the phone.
"Finally, you answer your fucking phone," came an irritating and unwelcome voice.
Ethan sighed, getting into the first cab that he saw waiting outside the exit. Covering the mouthpiece, he gave the name of the hotel he was going to be staying before speaking again on the phone. "What do you want, Sean?”
"Where are you?" he asked.
"Where I am is no longer your concern, remember you ended our relationship.” Ethan decided he was getting a new phone number, something he should have done weeks ago. “You know, Sean, if you wanted out of our relationship all you had to do was tell me. Cheating was beneath you.”
"But that's just it, I don't want out. Come on, Ethan…” Sean began, “it was the first time.”
“You mean the first time you got caught,” he interrupted.
“Come on, Ethan, you don’t want to give up on a good thing. Did you forget we’re engaged to be married?”
Ethan scoffed at the last statement. “I feel like we have been over this one time too many.” Ethan didn’t want to argue with Sean and tried to remain calm. "Look," Ethan continued. "It's over," he stated with a finality in his voice, looking in the rear view mirror, hoping the cab driver was not paying attention to his call.
"But I love you,” Sean said. “Believe me, it was one little mistake." Ethan wished he could have heard just a tiny bit of sincerity in Sean’s voice in order to believe him, but the apology sounded forced.
“You call cheating on the man you love one little mistake, Sean? As if it is something to quickly sweep under the fucking rug. Did our relationship mean that little to you?” Ethan didn’t raise his voice, he remained in control, but his anger was not unmistakable.
“Come on, princess, get over your little temper tantrum and fucking forgive me already,” Sean demanded. Sean always called him that when he felt Ethan was acting like a ‘diva’. He'd always hated that fucking nickname; it sounded more like an insult than a pet name.
Ethan closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Listen, I’m going to tell you one more time. And God, I really hope you get it this time. Sean, it's over. Please don’t call me anymore.”
“Ethan, wait!” Sean began, but Ethan, deciding that he would rather not hear any more of Sean’s lies, hung up the phone.
He was coming to his senses in regards to his relationship with Sean. Granted, he was kind hearted, most would call him a pushover and Sean took advantage of his kind nature, but no longer would he let a person do that to him. Looking down at his phone, he was tempted to throw it out of the window, but Ethan realized he still needed his contacts for work.
The driver dropped him off at his destination, and Ethan gave the cabbie a big tip for having to bear with his conversation. It was pretty early when he checked in. All Ethan wanted to do was relax for the rest of the day, he decided to take a shower. Once he got out of the shower and dried off, he crawled into bed naked and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
Later that night, he woke up feeling well rested and with one thing in mind; having some fun and lots of it. He called down to the front desk and ordered room service. On the recommendation of the concierge, Ethan decided to go to a club called the Oracle. The need to be around people who had no idea who he was sounded just great, even if it was merely for a couple of hours. Dressed in his best clubbing outfit, he examined himself appreciatively in the mirror and smiled. Even in his current mood, he looked damned good.
Ethan reached down to pick up his wallet and realized he was still wearing his engagement ring. He took it off, and got ready to place it on the dresser, then thought better of it and slid it into his pants pocket.
Maybe there’s a river nearby I can throw it in.
The minute he walked into the club, Ethan wasted no time heading straight for the bar. He didn’t take the time to look at the decor nor did he pay attention to what music the DJ was playing. Pulling out a hundred-dollar bill from his pocket, he waved it in the air, getting the bartender's attention immediately.
“What’s your poison, cutie?” the good looking bartender asked, eyeing Ethan up and down. He quickly read the bartender’s name tag, Charlie. The bartender was definitely handsome and tall, with a short cropped hair, and a set of interesting tattoos on both his arms. On any given day Ethan would have flirted with Charlie, but right then he had one objective in mind.
“Well, Charlie, why don’t you surprise me. I’m in the mood to be a little adventurous,” Ethan told him immediately, “and keep them coming, when this,” he said, putting the one-hundred-dollar bill on the bar top, “runs out, let me know.”
“You got it,” Charlie replied, taking his money and fixing him a drink he had never heard of but tasted so damn good.
Once he had his first drink in hand, Ethan turned around and inspected the club and its party goers. He watched the mix of couples dancing, laughing and drinking.
The club, from what Ethan could see, used to be a warehouse. It had two levels. Stairs in various parts, lead to the upper level, where tables and chairs went all the way around the railings. Downstairs was all for dancing and mingling. The music was pumping, and everyone seemed to be having fun, something Ethan was ready for. He was ready for anything to happen; it was the night he would take his life back.
He quickly gulped down the rest his drink and immediately Charlie had another one waiting for him. Feeling the beat of the music, Ethan skirted his way over to the dance floor. He began to dance to whatever song was playing, dancing by himself, not caring if anyone joined him or not. After a few songs and a couple of shots, courtesy of other club hoppers, he was sweaty and slightly buzzed. He felt fucking great. He walked over to the bar and Charlie, the ever-efficient bartender, was there to take his request.
Charlie leaned against the other side of the bar closer to him. “So, enjoying yourself, gorgeous?”
Ethan smiled after putting down his drink, “I am.” He leaned closer to Charlie and looked up into the man’s dark eyes. “You make excellent drinks.”
Charlie bowed his head slightly, “I aim to please.” Ethan threw his head back and laughed as Charlie cleared his throat and pulled back, then grabbed the towel and began wiping down the bar top. “So where are you from?”
Ethan snickered, “New York.”
“Are they all as gorgeous as you in New York?” Ethan felt his face get warm. Who the fuck was this guy kidding? His pickup lines were so lame they might have worked if he had a lot more to drink.
Charlie opened his mouth to say something, but stopped when someone stepped up behind Ethan and sandwiched him between the bar and whispered in his ear. The voice was smooth and velvety as the man attached to it. “Fancy seeing you here.” Ethan shivered and closed his eyes. He knew that voice anywhere. Before meeting Sean, there were times he dreamt of the man and his deep baritone voice whispering in his ear, drawing sweet moans from him.
Feeling a bit sober, Ethan turned around, and their eyes connected his meeting those bright green eyes. Their faces were so close to each other that Ethan had to lean back a bit, putting some space between them. Slowly and without shame, he let his eyes travel from those piercing green eyes down to the man’s broad chest, stopping at his crotch, and moving back up again.
“Well, well, it’s Tyler Hamilton.” Ethan said with a wide smile. Ethan had always had a crush on Tyler ever since the first time they met.
“In the flesh,” Tyler responded.
Ethan guessed Tyler had a right to be cocky. He was sexy as hell. The dark suit with a white shirt he was wearing looked like it was made for him and likely was. Tyler was not a small man in stature, Ethan guessed he was about six one, and two hundred and fifty pounds of hard muscles. He had naturally olive skin and wavy black hair and recently, over the past couple of months, he’d been sporting a neatly trimmed beard. Ethan took a sip of his drink, hoping that it would calm his racing heart.
He understood why men and women threw themselves at Tyler. From what he knew of the middle Hamilton brother, Tyler dated men or women with little substance in the brain department. It made Ethan a bit angry that Tyler always looked at him as Christen’s best friend and maybe another brother, rather than a potential lover.
“Well, isn’t this a surprise, what are you doing here?” Ethan asked.
“I could ask you the same thing.” Tyler tilted his head, studying Ethan. “What are you doing here?” He asked, looking around.
“What does it look like? I’m having fun, what else…”
“Uh huh,” Tyler responded, not believing him. “Well, are you? Having fun that is?”
“Yes, Charlie has been an excellent host.” Ethan turned around and winked at Charlie, who was still standing behind him, watching their interaction.
“That means we did our job, by making you feel welcomed in our little establishment,” Tyler smiled.
“You own the club?” he asked surprised. “I had no idea Hamilton Enterprise was in the clubbing business.”
“They aren’t,” Tyler said, shrugging his shoulders. “This belongs to Charlie and me.”
That completely surprised Ethan. He never saw Tyler as the type to step from behind his father and twin brother’s shadow. Tyler seemed the type to follow directly behind them, doing everything they asked of him without question. It was one of the reasons he and Tyler disagreed each time they saw each other.
“Surprised?” Tyler questioned.
“A little,” he admitted. “I had no idea you wanted to do things on your own. I thought you worked for Hamilton Enterprise.” Ethan had heard what a shark Tyler was in the boardroom when it came to acquisitions of other companies. Ethan wondered if the same zeal carried over to the bedroom.
“There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me,” Tyler said, leaning closer to him. Tyler abruptly pulled back as if remembering who he was. Ethan’s eyes travel up and down Tyler’s body, admiring him appreciatively.
Tyler raised and eyebrow before asking, “See, something you like?”
Cocky bastard, thought Ethan. God, he is handsome. Ethan mentally pictured Tyler without his clothes on and hoped his body language didn’t display his thoughts. He studied Tyler a bit more; Ethan couldn’t put his finger on it, but something was off with Tyler. There was a sort of dark, dangerous aura to him, something he’d never noticed before.
“So are you here alone or do I finally get to meet the elusive fiancé I have heard so much about?” Tyler asked, cutting into Ethan’s thoughts.
Seriously, did he have to ask about Sean?
Ethan did not answer the question. “Buy me a drink, Tyler,” he requested instead.
Tyler raised an eyebrow and looked at the empty glass in Ethan’s hand. “Haven’t you had enough?”
“Not nearly enough,” Ethan muttered. “I came here to have fun and let loose,” he said a bit louder.
Not deterred at all by Ethan trying to distract him. “Where is your fiancé, shouldn’t he be the one buying you a drink?” Tyler questioned. “And getting loose with?”
“You're no fun,” Ethan pouted. “What’s with all the questions?”
Fuck, Ethan mentally cursed. He really didn’t want to answer Tyler’s question and thanked whatever deity out there paying attention when the DJ put on Rihanna’s song “Work,” which happened to be his new favorite song. He hurriedly placed the empty glass he was holding in his hand down and easily moved Tyler’s arm that still had him against the bar, and danced his way once again over to the dance floor, losing himself in the music.
