I've been working steadily for the past couple of weeks on my upcoming novels and plotting out new ones. As it stands, Jordan's Pryde will be set for sometime in May. I enjoyed writing this book and will be doing more Paranormal's storytelling in the near future. There are three books slated so far coming from this series. Other than being sick and busy over the past couple of weeks have set my schedule further back than I would have liked. Next month makes it one year since I published my first novel and I am so happy that I did. I realize I still have a very long ways to go. I will make mistakes (grammar-wise as well), and the only thing I can do, is simply improve and continue to write beautiful stories; as long my guys talk to me.
I've decided unless something changes in my schedule that I will be attending GRL in Denver this year. I'm super excited! It will be my very first, and I can't wait to meet so many authors I have had admired over the years. I hope I don't annoy them going all fan-girlish. But who can blame me? I really hope they don't. I will be going as a reader and not as an author. The saying of crawling before you walk comes to mind.
Along, with Jordan's Pryde I'm working on His Baby's Secret the third novel in the One-Night Stand Series (Brenden & Stephen's story). And the fourth book in the lineup. There will also be a spinoff series from the One-Night Stand series focusing on the agents of Seekers. Chance, from Loving You will not be quiet, so it seems he will be the first to introduce us to the worlds of the Seeker Organization entirely. I think the series will be longer than the One-Night Stand because there are so many avenues I want to explore.
I've been doing some personal projects as well. My husband and I are trying to buy a house by the end of the summer. The only thing we can't decide is which state we want to buy it in. Since retiring from the military, we've had ideas of moving out of Rhode Island. We thought of Florida, Sout Carolina or Atlanta. Anywhere with no snow or one that gets's as little as possible. Right now we are not sure but who knows things my change and we stay here. I really hate the cold and snow. It beautiful when it first falls to the ground, but when comes time to shovel it becomes a bit tiring.
I've been seeing a sleep specialist as well in an effort to beat my insomnia. He diagnosed me with Psychophysiological insomnia. Yeah, I did a double listen when he said that. After he had explained it and I looked it up on google I found out that it's more common than I would have thought. Psychophysiological insomnia is one of the most common and difficult types of insomnia to treat. A patient with psychophysiological insomnia focuses on their sleep, and worries about not getting enough. Their worrying starts when they prepare to go to bed. In other words, my brain doesn't shut off when it's time to go to sleep. I'm always thinking of what I'm going to write and how I can fix this plot or change this scenario. I basically, have to trick my body into sleeping and when I wake up on things that I need to do. I do a lightbox therapy in the morning each day for thirty minutes. But what I've been doing is keeping the light on while I work out that way I'm getting the son I need along with getting my body in shape.
Anyway, I need to get back to my work. Check out my Ask the Author section and ask me anything you would like to know about me, my novels or fanfictions and I will answer them as best as possible. No question is too small or crazy for me to answer. Just think about this, before I started writing I use to sell sex toys! Now, those are some funny stories I could talk about.
